Project Galileo is Cloudflare’s initiative to protect vulnerable yet important corners of the Internet from cyber attacks. Founded in 2014, it provides free, robust security — including DDoS mitigation, Web Application Firewall, CDN, and SSL — to organisations that serve the public interest but often lack the resources to defend themselves.
Brain Regeneration is a Project Galileo recipient, meaning our infrastructure is protected against the kinds of large-scale attacks that can silence research and public health resources online. This support ensures the observatory remains freely available to researchers, clinicians, and patients regardless of external threats.
Project Galileo currently protects more than 2,900 vulnerable Internet properties worldwide, working in partnership with civil liberties organisations including the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Access Now, and Reporters Without Borders.
