Data Sources

GregoryAI continuously harvests new publications and clinical trials from trusted registries.

  • PubMed / MEDLINE

The primary database of biomedical literature maintained by the US National Library of Medicine. The main source for peer-reviewed journal articles.

  • bioRxiv & medRxiv

Preprint servers for biology and medicine. Articles here have not yet been peer-reviewed, and results are marked accordingly.

  • ClinicalTrials.gov

The US National Library of Medicine registry of publicly and privately supported clinical studies. Used for tracking ongoing and completed trials.

  • EU Clinical Trials Register

The European register of clinical trials authorised under the EU Clinical Trials Directive, covering trials conducted in EU member states.

  • ISRCTN Registry

An international primary clinical trial registry, providing coverage of trials not registered in the US or EU registers.

Source queries and keywords are defined by our scientific curators and are visible in the GregoryAI configuration for each research area.

Open Source

The entire project is built in the open. Both the website and the AI engine are freely available for anyone to inspect, audit, fork, or contribute to.

ML Relevancy Models

Relevancy scores on article cards are generated by machine learning models that analyze paper titles and abstracts.

  • Prediction score ranges and what each score means.
  • The specific algorithms currently used.
  • Known limitations and caveats in the training data.

This section includes an important caveat about the current annotation source for the training data.

AI limitations

Content on this observatory is gathered and ranked by GregoryAI, a machine learning system. While the models are trained to identify relevant research, they are not infallible. Articles may be incorrectly ranked, miscategorised, or missed entirely. Scientific curators review results, but this process is ongoing and imperfect. Always verify information against the original source.

Nothing on this website constitutes medical advice. Research summaries, clinical trial listings, and AI-generated rankings are provided for informational purposes only. They should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified health professional before making any medical decisions.
